Mr. Eldred is a singer of a wide variety of different types of music (from country to classical) and sings at restaurants, banquets and concerts. He has sung bass-baritone solo's in oratorios, cantatas, opera and other musical productions. He has also sung many concerts for the inmates in State and Federal prisons, and for the V.A. Hospital in Salt Lake City.
His voice is known and enjoyed by many of the Central and Western States, and also to some extent in Western Canada and parts of Brazil. His rich bass-baritone voice has an extended range beyond four octaves. At age 25, Mr. Eldred contracted polio. Despite disabilities which would have daunted most people, and the doctors thinking he would never walk nor sing again, he has become an avid motorcyclist, a good hunter, a saleable photographer and a fine singer. "It's a long way from the restrictive confinement of an 'iron lung' to the open freedom of riding a motorcycle in the warm sun and wind."
One of Clio's favorite hymns:
Keep me near to the precious cross
That's where a fountain is flowing so freely
It's free to everyone who looks to the Lord
I can see that it's flowing from Mount Calvary
Jesus, keep me near the cross
There a precious fountain
Free to all a healing stream
Flows from Calvary's Mountain
In the cross, In the cross
Be my glory ever
Till My raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river
Give Your Ears A Treat,
Come Hear The Beat
And The Voice Of
The Man Called . . . CLIO
How May I Serve You?
